    Staff Testimonials

    Leanne Swoffer  (LSA)

Working at The Vyne has been the most rewarding experience of my career. From day one, I was welcomed into a supportive community where every role is valued equally. There is a tangible sense of joy here, matched by a shared aspiration to help students and staff succeed. We celebrate achievements, with colleagues always eager to offer guidance. Our co-curricular opportunities reflect our true passions, creating an environment rich in challenge and growth. The Vyne is a vibrant place to thrive, whether you are joining our team or starting your learning journey.

    Tony Waters  (Science Technician)

My role in the school is that of Senior Science Technician, as a part of this I work alongside teachers to create and develop experiments. My role also includes tasks such as; maintaining equipment, managing teacher requests, mentoring and carrying out interesting demonstrations for students.
The Vyne has a great community atmosphere where students and teachers try to help and support each other to become everything we can be. The Vyne has given me fulfillment and great enjoyment by allowing me to be myself and has challenged me to be better every day.

    Ben Allnutt  (Head of Science)

For 25 years, I have had the privilege of being part of a truly special school community, where every student is encouraged to believe in themselves, discover their potential and aspire to achieve great things. Throughout my journey, from teaching PE and Science to leading both departments and serving as a Head of Year, I have seen first-hand the transformative power of opportunity. What makes this school so special is its commitment to developing the whole person — in the classroom, through co-curricular experiences, and as part of a supportive and inclusive community. I am immensely proud to have played a part in that journey.

Kieran Maylan  (Year 8 Progress Leader)

I have been proud to work at Vyne School for the past six years, and it is a truly welcoming and inclusive place to be. There is a strong sense of community, with staff working together to ensure every student is supported and gets the most out of their time at the school. The staff are friendly, dedicated and always willing to go the extra mile for our students. There are also lots of co-curricular opportunities available throughout the school day, including a wide range of clubs and activities during break times and after school. These give students the opportunity to explore new interests, develop their skills, build confidence and make new friendships. What I value most about Vyne is the genuine sense of belonging. It is a school where both students and staff feel valued, supported and part of something special.
